 I. PHOTOSHOP FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS


If you want to learn Photoshop as it pertains to photographers, then this is a great workshop to attend. Mike takes the best of his three-day photoshop series and puts it into a one-day workshop that covers the gamut from capture to color management to image perfection to print.

We start our day right off at 8am with a digital presentation that provides an excellent orientation to Photoshop. Then, as the day progresses, we go through specific Photoshop operations such as formatting images for printing, creating panoramas, perfecting brightness/contrast and formatting images for internet usage. We also spend a good amount of time going through digital workflow tutorials using Photoshop's amazing file browser and automation tools.

This is a hands-on workshop where you'll be working on photographs at the same time as the instructor. We'll be teaching the workshop on Photoshop CS, but all the actions and techniques will work on just about any version of Photoshop that you currently use, including versions 5.5, 6, 7, CS, CSII and Elements.

II.Nikon Capture

 Capture NX

 

Learn how to use Nikon's premier photo processing software to get the very most out of your images in this one-day workshop. Capture is an impressive program, but it can be a bit daunting to most users. We'll use Capture and learn how to utilize it to its full capacity. We'll also learn how it should be integrated with Photoshop and where Capture fits in your digital workflow.

You will learn:

- RAW processing

- File formats and benefits of each (NEF, TIFF, JPEG)
- Developing custom curves to download to your camera

 III. D70/D70s Workshop

 

For D70 owners who want to move beyond Auto mode and learn their cameras in depth. We really go into a lot of detail with this impressive camera. We start the day with an indoors tutorial and Power Point Presentation. We cover the camera's main dial operations, menu controls and custom function screens.

After the morning classroom session, we head outdoors for a field work session. Our goal is to utilize the tools we learned in the morning to create stunning images in the real world.

This course is jam packed with information. We guarantee that you'll not only learn how to better use your Nikon D70, but you'll also learn to be a better photographer. Mike will work closely with you in the field and help unlock the confusing digital learning curve!

 IV. i-TTL/CLS Workshop

 

For anyone who owns a SB-600 or SB-800 flash and wants to understand how i-TTL works and what Nikon's Creative Lighting System (CLS) can do for you. We'll have lots and lots of flashes, and will set up many different types of shots using the i-TTL system (speedlights, cameras, gels and filters). You will learn flash techniques that will help you solve difficult lighting scenarios. We'll cover methods on how to creatively light situations that arise in studio photography, outdoor portraits, product photography, closeup and flower photography, web and product photography, travel photography, fill-flash photography and night photography

- Multiple strobe usage
- SB800 setup as a commander flash unit
- SB800 setup as remote flash unit
- SB600 setup as remote flash unit
